Collin S. Ferguson
Hi there! Nice to meet you.
I’m a big-picture thinker with a zest for life and learning. As a natural ideator and investigator of experiences, I thrive on exploring new ideas and seeking innovative solutions. I love designing, developing, and bringing to life high-quality learning systems that inspire and empower others. My adventurous spirit and desire for growth mean I’m always ready to take on new challenges and turn ideas into reality.
Let’s create something unique together!
My Experience
A dynamic EdTech Strategist and Cooperative User Experience Researcher with a creative entrepreneurial mindset.
I leverage my expertise in learning experience design, online education, and cooperative development to empower co-op members, managers, and employees. I aim to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to advance Cooperative Values such as democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity through innovative learning systems and user-centered design.
As an ideator and researcher of co-op member experiences, I analyze learning behaviors to create impactful educational solutions. My passion for the cooperative business model and workplace democracy drives my efforts. I embody what I call a ‘coopreneur’—a term I use to describe an entrepreneur committed to fostering inclusivity and member democratic control in cooperative communities.

Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, NS Canada
My graduate diploma in Cooperative and Credit Union Management from the Sobey School of Business offered me a comprehension of cooperative values and principles and an ability to appraise the cooperative business model, especially for platform co-ops.
September, 2020
Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon
The LXD certificate program guided me on how to build learner-centered instructional design. It also provided opportunities to practice learner/user research processes, ideate and test educational value propositions, and formulate concepts into strategic roadmaps, process flows, and low-fidelity prototypes.
