The Keep Cascadia Weird

Cause Mooc

Keep Cascadia Weird (KCW) is the first Cause-MOOC in development by Collin Ferguson. KCW will provide students with online learning courses and an opportunity to obtain knowledge and certification toward designing, developing, and maintaining an ecovillage.

KCW is a branded I.T. platform representing a cause-marketing partnership between students, higher learning institutions, environmental advocates, government planning bureaus, real estate developers, and contractors. The objective is to position these organizations into a mutually beneficial social cooperative that develops ecovillages.

KCW will include many social cooperative management courses, such as “Designing a Social Co-op Value Proposition” and “Accounting for Social Co-ops.” It will also provide classes about the Cascadia Bioregion and bioregional theory. However, it will primarily focus on training property management students who completed industry certification.
